Stacey and Josh’s wedding at La Quinta Resort was full of energy. One look at the dancing photos and you can see the kind of fun, charismatic, loving, and enthusiastic people that they surround themselves with. We take such joy in telling stories and are continually inspired by our couples who set aside the traditional model and want something a little some thing different from their wedding photography. Life is full of stories, of heartaches, of victories, of dreams to chase, disappointments to face, and adventures to live out. During their ceremony Stacey and Josh each received a key to a box that held a bottle of wine that they are meant to open together many years from now. Though they are meant to let it mature with time, they are also given permission to dive in and enjoy it if all else fails and life gets rough, with the caveat that they do it together, each holding a key through even the hardest of times. Stacey and Josh, thank your for inviting us into you world and for your warmth. We can’t wait to see the life that unfolds before you in this new adventure.

Emily and Nick’s session on the USC campus was such a joy. They came ready to play and trusted me wholeheartedly as we cruised around looking for new ways to see the school they’d spent so very much time at on their college days. Reminiscing about the past and excited for a future together it was so very clear that these two were made for one another. They are some of the sweetest people we’ve met. After the session we received not only a thank you email but an offer to babysit our little dudes (we have 11 month old twins) so that Megan and I could have a night off. We couldn’t be more thrilled to get to tell the story of two incredible hearts becoming one. Here are a few from our time together.

I met Amy and Max at my favorite coffee shop here in town called Intelligentsia and after slamming some caffeine we headed to the back alleys to find some good spots to play. There is such a natural interplay between these two, it was hard to stop shooting. We are so blessed to have couples that trust our crazy ideas and allow us to treat each session as an experiment. We are excited to get to break the mold and quite literally shoot for the unexpected. Thanks for a fun time Amy and Max. We can’t wait for the big day!
