We are closing out our wedding season here on the blog but couldn’t wait to squeeze one more post in before Christmas. Christy and Matt’s wedding at the beautiful Calamigo’s Ranch in Malibu was full of laughter and tears. It was simply magical to see the way these guys light up around each other. Christy’s explosive laugh is infectious and  we found ourselves grinning from ear to all all day long. A million thanks to the incredible Stacey Lynn or Stacey Lynn Design for making it all come together so smoothly and for being all around awesome to work with as usual. Christy and Matt, thank you for wearing your hearts on your sleeves and for inviting us into your lives. Here are just a few from the day to whet your appetite.

I met Alice many years ago, back in my days as a musician. In those days I was a different kind of storyteller and though it seems like many lives ago, there is something about Alice and Michael that still feels like home. One might think it is their light hearted nature, or their comfortability with one another, or the spirit of inclusion they emanates that makes a person feel so at ease in their presence. I’m willing to bank on the fact that all of these things are simply byproducts of something far greater. Alice and Michael’s shared faith in God is evident moments after meeting them and the words spoken at their ceremony echoed their hearts. Their wedding day was not about a wedding at all, but about marriage – the adventure that begins when two people discover that they are far better together than they ever were alone.
