Perched on top of a picturesque hillside in Morgan Hill, sits Willow Heights Mansion. This private estate became the perfect place for Tyler and Darren to tie the knot. Their intimate wedding reflected their personalities and relationship exquisitely. We love venues like Willow Heights Mansion. The grandeur of the estate made it feel like a palace, yet it felt so private with out another home within the 360˚ view. Tyler and Darren were like royalty that day. Together they were beautiful, full of grace and poise. They laughed and cried, sharing their hears so openly with us and their closest friends and family.
I (Megan) have actually had the privilege of knowing Tyler for a number of years now. We met when I was in grad school pursuing my “backup plan”. I was photographing weddings every weekend while going to classes and writing papers all week long. I was juggling two full-time lives. My heart was in photography, but I was doing what was safe. Tyler was like a kindred spirit to me and saw my heart through it all. She knew my passion was not in school and was whole heartedly in photography. Even back then she encouraged my photography. So when she called us a number of years after I had quit grad school to follow my heart and pursue photography full time, she said that she could not imagine any one else photographing her wedding. I was so excited! Thrilled to have the opportunity to document the first day of the marriage of two truly incredible people.
Tyler and Darren, you two and couples like you are so much of the reason we love what we do. Thank you for sharing your hearts. Thank you for loving so openly and honestly. Thank you for allowing that love to be contagious to everyone who comes in contact with you! We love you two and cannot wait to see what the next chapter of your lives holds.
